The Village Heating Oil Buying Scheme
There is no piped gas supply to the village and as a consequence many houses have oil-fired central heating. Several residents have achieved reductions in the cost of oil deliveries of kerosene 28 by combining their orders with others. Should you, as a resident of the parish, wish to join the consortium, please complete the registration form. Thereafter, if you wish the consortium to place an order of 500 litres or more on your behalf, please complete and submit the order form before the ordering deadline. The minimum order is 500 litres and you can specify an exact amount or estimate it and ask for a ‘fill up’.
Your oil should then be delivered during the following week and you will need to pay the oil company directly. The price will be the best available at the time and should be lower than you, as an individual, could negotiate. The graph is only indicative of national prices.
The next closing date for orders will be Tuesday 7th February.
