MINUTES OF MEETING OF HARDINGTON MANDEVILLE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON WEDNESDAY 1st NOVEMBER 2006 AT 7.30PM AT THE VILLAGE HALL

Members were reminded that the Council has a general duty to consider the following matters in the exercise of any of its functions - Equal Opportunities (race, gender, sexual orientation, marital status & any disability); Crime & Disorder, Health & Safety and Human Rights.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE were received from Robin Carpenter.

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST Kevin Margetts declared an interest but not a prejudicial interest in application 3b.

3. PLANNING MATTERS
a) 06/03686/FUL Erection of a conservatory at 4 Broadstone Villas, High Street, Hardington Mandeville for Mr and Mrs Peters. There were no objections to this application. Kevin Margetts drew the Council’s attention to a recent application for Mr and Mrs Smith, Dimple Cottage which was for a similar conservatory on a house of similar age and design which was refused. He queried whether the planning officer had set a precedent.
b) 06/03432/FUL Conversion/extension to form granny annex/disabled unit at Primrose Cottage, Hardington Moor for Mr and Mrs P Newman. The Council objected to this application as they felt it was overdevelopment of the site for the proposed usage.
c) 06/03687/FUL The erection of a conservatory at The Old Stables, Moor Lane for Mrs S K Raymont. The Council had no objections to this application.

4. CLOSURE

There being no other planning applications the meeting ended at 8.10 pm.
