PARISH PLAN STEERING GROUP

Terms of Reference

  1. The Group shall be known as the Parish Plan Steering Group.
  2. The Steering Group shall consist of a chairman, a secretary, a treasurer and up to 9 other members of which 2 shall be parish councillors; all of whom will, from time to time, take a lead responsibility for aspects of the Steering Group’s activities.
  3. The Steering Group, may from time to time and when thought necessary, invite/co-opt other persons to join in the deliberations of the Group.
  4. The purpose of the Steering Group shall be to facilitate the production of a Parish Plan for the parish of Hardington Mandeville. The Steering Group will review the on-going progress of the implementation of the plan.
  5. In pursuing this purpose the Steering Group will:
    - inform the community of its existence.
    - consult widely within the community.
    - be open and objective in its deliberations.
    - inform the community of progress at regular intervals.
    - Work closely with the Parish Council.
    - Involve members of the parish in developing the plan.
  6. The treasurer shall keep a record of all finances, but all income will be banked through Hardington Mandeville Parish Council bank account.
