HARDINGTON AND PENDOMER WI
MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY MEETING HELD ON
9TH JULY 2008 AT 6.00PM IN THE VILLAGE HALL
Present: 25 members and 11 guests.
This was our Comedy Film Night to which husbands and friends had been invited. Unfortunately, the weather was dire and attendance was not as good as we had hoped.
However, those who did brave the weather were treated to two short films starring Eric Sykes et al, Rhubarb, Rhubarb and Mr H is Late, and after the interval Futtocks End starring Ronnie Barker and Co. Wine, soft drinks, popcorn and sweeties were for sale and the raffle had film-based prizes, of cinema tickets and books.
President, Fiona Chadwick, thanked her committee for their hard work in setting up the evening and for the support of the WI husbands, Ray Moulden, John Gilmore, Jonathan Chadwick and Brian Dodd who made sure the films ran and the wine was poured!!
Sue Phillips, on behalf of the members, thanked Fiona and her committee for coming up with such an original idea for an entertaining evening.
President, Fiona Chadwick conducted a short business meeting before the films.
