Interest Groups:
The Walking Group – Had had one walk. The next outing had not yet been arranged.
The Book club – The members were already reading the first book. Suggested date for the book discussion meeting - 15th April.
The Lunch Bunch – Next outing arranged for Thursday 23rd April at The Smokery Restaurant and Shop, Hambridge.
The Theatre Group – Vivienne Ford had arranged a theatre outing for Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July the former being for WI members only.
It was agreed that members of the Walking Group and the Book Club meet briefly at the end of the evening to arrange the date of the next walk and change the book discussion date as the 15th April was proving difficult for most of the Club members.
Any Other Business: Gillian informed the meeting that there would be a Village Litter Pick on 25th April at 10am.
Sue Phillips announced that she would be holding a Coffee Morning on Friday 1st May at 10.30 am at Windmill Cottage in aid of Multiple Sclerosis.
Date of the Next Meeting: Wednesday 13th May. The speaker would be Eileen Hurd talking about ACWW. Members were asked to bring along items for a Bring and Buy Stall the proceeds of which would be donated to Eileen for ACWW.
Representatives from both the Hospice and the League of Friends would be coming to the meeting for the presentation of cheques.
The AGM Resolution would be debated.
After the Business had been concluded members and guests took part in Square Dancing ably and bravely led by Julia Beckley. This proved to be great fun and quite energetic and in order to avoid total chaos those taking the part of the men were required to wear baseball hats.
The meeting ended at 10.30pm
