REPORT FOR OCTOBER - FLOWER ARRANGING
We have had some lovely, sunny autumnal days of late so our speaker for this month was appropriately flower arranger, 
Anne Hassad , who gave us a demonstration entitled Harvest and Autumn. Anne did four arrangements using flowers, foliage, fruit, vegetables and even bread rolls to illustrate her theme. Many hints and tips were gleaned by members as well as humorous tales from Anne about her life working in a florist’s shop. Stories of brides and their floral requests were certainly eye opening!
Anne then kindly judged our competition which was for a bronze/gold flower arrangement. The winner was Rosemary Richards who also won the flower of the month competition. Well done Rosemary.
The raffle was drawn and four lucky winners went home with the lovely arrangements that Anne had produced. Tea and coffee was served and a lively business meeting conducted by President, Fiona Chadwick, followed.
Our November meeting is our AGM when the new committee will be appointed. Tanya Ogden is coming to talk to us about her Wishing for a Well Appeal and Liz Raymont will bring her Phoenix cards.
We look forward to seeing members on 14th November. New members and guests are always welcome so come and join us.
